NZTA - School Travel Plans and Reported Crashes

A paper has been released by the NZTA that is of high ‘supporting information’ value for those applying for School Travel Plans & infrastructure in urban environments.

It has been recently released by the NZTA Auckland Regional Office and suggests that School Travel Plans create significant crash reductions of between 10 to 60% among child pedestrians and cyclists aged 5 to 13 years, as well as how the work links to Safer Journeys priorities.
